Between the time Barry Bonds retires and the time when he becomes eligible for the Hall of Fame, we should know more about this entire era of the power surge, no thanks to George Mitchell and his fellow drug detectives. That sounds like I'm waffling, but if we have the luxury of time, why not use it? I believe he should wait past the first ballot, and that his record forever will be viewed by the public as bogus.
